-Victor Hugo
Simone Fonteneau is an aspiring singer/songwriter straight out of Detroit, Michigan. She comes from a musical family background. Her mother was in a singing group, her father played bass and her grandmother was an accomplished dancer. So the inspiration was there. Simone enjoyed looking at pictures of her grandmother with Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, and others while she was a dancer at the Cotton Club.
As soon as she could stand she was in ballet classes. With all of those influences she really had no choice but to fall head over heels in love with music and entertaining. She had a facination with words, which grew into her love of songwriting. She was a complete bookworm and would choose a book over television any day. Simone writes in a variety of genres, pop, r&b, alternative etc. since it helps her to stay fresh and always growing, but as a singer she mostly sings Pop and R&B. She's been able to write from both personal experiences and a bit of fantasy. She's been able to relate better with her listeners that way. So she pulls inspiration from her own situations and creates a story from there.
Simone is fully commited to getting major placements this year. In fact, she spent the end of last year studing and practicing her skill as well as making connections with great producers so that this year she would be in a very favorable position to gain placements. If she wasn't involved in music she'd teach high school liturature. She would want to help other young people who love reading and words just as much as she does. So be on the look out for Simone doing big thangs in 2010.
Another WBM certfied artist on the rise.
