WBM Album Review: Keyshia Cole "Calling All Hearts"

Keyshia Cole is back with a new album "Calling all hearts". This is her fourth album, I'm a big fan, but the last album was kind of hard to really like. I had high hopes for this one, considering she's engaged to be married and has a child and has more to sing about.

After a few listens, this album didn't do much for me. Yes, it'll grow on me and I'll eventually like it but it feels a little rushed and just thrown together. Her voice sounds different, not as powerful.

Love and perseverance should have been the name of the album. Most of the tracks are based off those two subjects.

A stand out is a song with Tank, and a duet with Faith which finds the two singing over Biggie’s ‘Warning’ beat. Keyshia does try something new with working with Timbaland. Maybe a new direction she's going into for the next album.

Overall it’s a decent album but not Keyshia’s best work. It does show a little personal growth but if they spent a little more time on it, it had potential to be great.
