As we start come out into our own, developing a better idea about the things we want, moreso about what we want out of life is very important. The decision we're faced with is either to lead one of normalcy or to live one coloring outside of the lines and moving based on how desires drive us in any one direction or in several for that matter toward what interests us most.

Take Nation of Family Ties Entertainment as a prime example, he, faced with some serious decision to make in his life chose to move and shake the world using music as the catalyst which interesting enough isn't his only ambition. Acting is a lane he has plans to blaze down in the future. He's a man of no limitations.

A hustler by circumstance, yet goal oriented by purpose, Nation plans to make his impact felt all over.

To get an idea of the long lasting impact, Nation plans to create not only with Family Ties Entertainment, but as someone looking to maximize his potential to become great he shared his thoughts with us.

So tell me a little bit about yourself:

Nation: Off top, I'm more than just your typical artist. I invest in myself and every body around me. Big heart for music, low tollerance for ignorance. My son came in while I was still in high school I hung around the hood trying to make somethin shake but shit wasnt movin fast enough. So I wanted to make a quick come-up, I did like 18 months in Iraq with the army. Came back and been doing a hundred every since.

Who is Nation?

Nation: Nation is the American Hustler man, lil nigga from the hood who wants more out of life than what he's seen. And I will stop at nothing less than being respected as one of the "Greats."

Where are you from?

Nation: I'm from Mississippi.

How does it feel working with a producer like Big Fruit and the FTE team?

Nation: I feel that if you surround yourself with greatness then thats what you become and I found that potential here with Big Fruit and the FTE establishment

Interest(s)?

Nation: I have a big interest in acting. I feel like with alot that I've been through, I want to express it in more than just one lane.

How long have you been involved with music?

Nation: I've been involved with music right at about 7 yrs.

Do you play any instruments?

Nation: Nah, but i would love to learn how to play piano

How did your situation with FTE come about?

Nation: Well me and Jr was 2 niggas on the grind where we from. He had his lane and I had mine. We somehow ended up workin at the same place in town and eventually when on to thow some parties together. He linked up with Big Fruit around the time "Peanut Butter & Jelly" poped off for J-Money & Cadillac Don. I was still on the grind in the city. They took off and started FTE. when I came back from Iraq I started making plays and Jr seen me moving and presented me a propostion i couldn't refuse.

How important is innovation in music to you?

Nation: Its not just important to me, I feel it's, more so, relavent just from looking at my rapid fanbase growth.

What does success mean to you?

Nation: Success to me is actually acquiring that goal (you) set for yourself. Just to look in the mirror and say " Yeah, I did it."

Who and what inspires and motivates you?

Nation: I inspire me, my experiences in life along is always what helps me stay focused. Everytime I come off the road and go back home is like a refresher. It rehumbles me in a sense and reminds me why I do what i'm doing. And in that situation is my family.

What's in your iPod?

Nation: Pac, Biggie, Bones Thugz, Lil Wayne, Black Rob, Outkast, Jadakiss, Rick Ross, 50 cent, Game, The roots, Red & Meth and some R&B classics. Man, the list goes on.

Who would you like to collaborate with?

Nation: I'd love to work with Kanye, Jamie Foxx, Andre 3,000, Bun B, and on a business note I'd like to work with Diddy and Jay-Z

Current projects?

Nation: I'm currently shooting all the videos for my debut mixtape that i just finished up entitled "The Belief."

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Nation: A Trending Topic in the entertainment business

Biggest accomplishment?

Nation: My biggest accomplishment is actually submitting a song I wrote for T.I. Not saying he gone use it but his people definitely fucked with it. They called back and asked me to change one thing in the song, so hopefully they fuck with it.

What type of impact would you like to leave with your music?

Nation: I want people to percieve me and my artistry as something that was real and heart-felt. I want to leave an impact on the game like Jordan did, only thing is: when i leave the game, i ain't coming back.
